Motorcycle Plates, 1914-1953

These rare 1914 Motorcycle Plates are the only 2 known to exist.
Since 1914 mc registrations were issued from 1 thru 742,
these plates would be from the unissued overrun.
They measure 2 7/8 x 7 1/2 and are shown to a larger scale than those below.

Vertical-format MC plates are known for 7 years: 1923 thru 1929. They measure about 4 1/8 by 7 1/4.
Up to 1929, the verticals were County-coded with the top number representing the County.
In this case, the '23 is from Cochise County, the '25 from Yavapai, and the '26 from Maricopa.
